Controlling - Global Management Challenges - Review Notes

Global managers have to understand the culture of the place in which they are operating to make their managerial actions successful in getting approval their staff in the place.

In Japanese and Chinese cultures, the individuals are not made to feel shame in public and the effort is always made to save the face of people involved in shortfall of targets. US culture is one of blaming individuals and making them feel their lapse in completing an agreed task.
